Ok, so my Agent called me and tomorrow I have an audition for the TV series "Durham County". It's Season Two, and I never watched the First Season, so I wanted to know if anyone could kind of fill me in on who the hell Ray and Sadie and Mike are?

The breakdown mentions them quite a bit and I am thinking I should have some background info before I walk in on this, and I will do some checking on the website and stuff but anything and everything helps.

Sorry, I've never heard of it, but I wish you luck in getting the part!

EDIT : No wonder I've never heard of it. It's a Canadian show. So is this part a one episode deal or as a regular character?

Oh, it's strictly Canadian? I thought it might have been a bit more widespread...

It wouldn't be an every episode character, but many more than one show I think. I never get all the details unless I land the job.

Its a drama show, Nirano.

I've seen it on youtube, and looked it up on Wikipedia for you.

Mike Sweeney, a homicide detective from Toronto who moves his family to suburban Durham County to start over after his partner is killed and his wife Audrey

Ray is suspected to be a serial killer.

I didn't see much on youtube before the video was taken down for some reason, but thats the best I can do.

There has only been six episodes, I think.

Sorry. Best I can do.

No, s'all good. Thanks for helping, the thing about auditions is it's all last minute. You get the call, and you have one day to prepare.

I've read all the bios, and it helped a bunch. The character I hope to get is very interesting, and a challenge like I've never faced before and I am very excited to spend the next couple hours flitting around with ideas and toying with different ways to say the very few lines I am given to convince these people I am who they want and need.

Hey - way to go Nirano!! Just wear that neat little suit, twitch your ears and RAWR at them. How could they deny anyone so incredibly cute and incredibly scary all in one package. Tongue

Best of luck. Smile

Hahaha, thanks Cathy, but I'm not sure if they want my mean kitty form. I have to go practice my bambi eyes in the mirror now.

So, I had the audition, and it was alright. Not sure if I'm gonna get this one though, one generally knows when he nails a part, and I didn't get that feeling here.

Still, regardless of whether I do get a call or not, this audition was the toughest one I've had by far. The character was someone so immensely opposite of who I am, I couldn't even access the emotions this person must be feeling.

He's a Dylan Klebold wannabe, according to the Breakdown. A person who envies and admires the Columbine Shooters. I'll be very excited to see who got the part in the future and find out how they wanted this character played, because Christ, I can not even pretend to feel the things this character has to feel.

Thanks for all the help fellas Grin

That would be a fascinating, and definitely difficult, role to play. I sincerely hope you get the part.

Wow, good luck. Honestly, I have never heard of the show and I would be more thrilled for you if it was an audition for Lost, but still, good luck.

Well, this one obviously didn't come through. I got another call just last night about some pilot series this time, and I need to play some big, and a quote: "Douchebag of the universe". It's about a college football team and all the parties that comes with it. Sounds ridiculously stupid, but the character I'm auditioning for is a recurring character so, hell, I'll play a jerk if I have to for that kind of money Tongue
